Hey there,

I’m back this week with more regular streams. I’ll be live today for a Code Chat / Q&A and live on Friday to continue working on listd.

During the stream last week, we talked about the community, what Coding Garden will look like going forward and also had a discussion around building APIs in 2023.

I plan to start streaming on YouTube this week. This is just a trial while I determine if this helps with channel growth / visibility.

We also started a couple of channels in the discord to help foster community and get people chatting. We’d love for you to participate:

Daily Standup Channel - post what you did yesterday, what you plan to do today and any blockers you might have. We don’t plan on responding to every message, but this is a way to get visibility into the community, vent about work / life and also a way to hold yourself accountable if you’re self learning.

Weekly Discussion Channel - a new discussion topic will be posted every week. Please leave a comment if you have an opinion you’d like to share. There is also a thread to suggest future topics. This week’s topic is: "There is a trend to move apps, logic and rendering back to the backend - things like React Server Components, Meta Frameworks that include Server Side Rendering, frameworks like htmx etc. What do you think of this? Is it a good trend? Bad trend? Do you not care? Let us know."

Clip Share Channel - we’d like to make clipping the channel a more common occurrence. If you clip something during the stream please share it here. Also, if you see something during the stream you think should be clipped for YouTube, share a clip here and mention why. All of the top clips of the month will be shared and credited on YouTube.
