Streams Last week

On Tuesday, I was live all day to talk about AI. I talked about recent AI news. Talked about what resources I use to stay up to date. Talked about what AI means for our industry and humanity, and a bunch of other stuff that came up. I also tried out github co-pilot and worked on a chat bot powered by the OpenAI API to automatically answer Coding Garden FAQs. This was a good time and chat had fun trying to jailbreak the bot to make it do things and answer questions it wasn’t supposed to… You can take a look at the brain dump / notes I took during the stream here and view the code for the chatbot here

On Friday, we worked on listd. I setup redis and worked on caching YouTube API responses. The code changes for the past 3 streams have not been merged into main yet, but you can view the changes on this branch / PR.

Today I’ll be building an app the "old" way with AngularJS 1.8 and no build tools. I’ll be re-creating the movies app example from tastejs.

On Wednesday, I will be live to answer your CODE questions related to React.

On Friday, I will continue work on listd. I plan to finish up the initial YouTube API integration.
